Just a quick post on some simple tools.
I was cleaning out my shop this past weekend and came across three cheap tools that were pretty easy to make. All three of these have been useful to have.
PCB Holder
This was made with a couple pieces of scrap wood and a pcb holder that I had on hand. This tool does a good job of holding the PCB. I like this when soldering or shining a light through the PCB.

Wire Spool Rack
I bought a couple curtain rod holders and a dowel at the hardware store. I think the total was around $5. I then just installed the curtain rod holder and dowel into one of my plastic shelves.

Monitor Adjusting Mirror
I had both these parts on hand and was about to throw them away and came up with a simple solution to adjust a monitor from the backside of the game. I just removed the magnifying glass and drilled a hole in the metal mirror. I can now attach it to the side of an arcade and bend into shape. Ironically enough, this hangs from the wire spool rack pictured above.
I imagine that this would be easy to duplicate with similar items.
