Bye-Bye Horseshoes, Cleaning, and Adjusting
I saw a post on Facebook about needing some beta-testers for the NMP, which improves Williams drop targets. I reached out to see if I could help and ended up getting selected. My Williams Tri Zone was not scoring when drop targets fell down, and this was a perfect candidate to try the them. The NMP instantly got my seal of approval! All drop targets scored and reset.

If anyone has worked with the first generation Williams drop targets, then you know how much of a pain it is to get these drop targets to work. It’s a fine balancing act of cleaning, adjusting, and having the right pressure so the boards will get detected, but at the same time drop smoothly. The greatest benefit of this product is it eliminates cleaning and adjusting!
I bought another set for my Flash, and did a video on the install process. I used NMP-1s since the 3-bank, 4-bank, and 5-bank hadn’t been produced yet. If I had to do it again, I would have used one 3-bank and one 5-bank. I created another post with more information on installation along with specific wiring diagrams. The installation takes a little bit of time, but it’s so worth it. I will never have to clean, adjust, or replace these boards. These will definitely increase the reliability of your game.
I liked these so much that I reached out to the creator of these to see if he wanted to sell them in my store. I happy to announce that I will now be selling these NMP for Williams drop targets!

My drop targets have never worked better. I have 3 Flash and two Gorgar pinballs and I plan on using these in all of these pinballs. I was replacing the playfield in my first Flash when I came across your web site and you sounded so excited about this new drop target system that I decided to try it. I am not disappointed. I installed it on the targets as I was reassembling the new playfield and when I put it back in the game all the targets worked flawlessly. Today I am ordering e set for my next Flash and they will be installed as I replace the playfield in it. My other pinballs will get this new system as soon as I can get to them.
Thanks for the kind words. Glad to hear the NMPs are working great for you. Thanks for the additional order!
[sent mail as well]
I have a Flash into which I have put the NMP-5 and NMP-3 boards (The 3-board was definitely easier to deal with with respect to the wiring, for some reason…). Put the magnets on the drops (E-6000 is my friend), and wow, these things go down so smoothly; the ball has but to breathe on them and they fall. I have encountered one minor glitch; not a show-stopper but something for others to be aware of:
On Flash, the center pop bumper coil is close enough to the circuit board of the NMP-3 that it will trigger the center and right drop target switches on the 3-bank when it fires; if you drop the left target and then hit the center bumper, it will score and reset the bank as if you had knocked down all 3 targets. I’m wondering if you have a solution for this?
No regrets! Other than the above, the targets function flawlessly, perfectly. 11/10 would recommend!
I sent you an email a while back. Did you see it? You might need to get shielding for the sensors. Feel free to reach out to me.
